What do you feel are the benefits of incorporating online instruction in the English class?

Computers are used in everyday life. People depend on them, so why not use them in something else? Computers should have a bigger part in education. People use computers to type papers, look up information, communicate to people in an instant way rather then having to talk face to face, and businesses use them to run their business. The teacher in the audio said that Bangladesh women with technology can have a "stronger voice and community online." Computers are a universal thing, of course not everybody has a computer in their home, but a majority of people have some sort of access to them. Blogging is such a cool thing, it gives people the opportunity to communicate to people in a way that you can't do anywhere else. Blogging makes it easy on the teacher because instead of wasting tons of paper for a lot of students, she can post the assignment online and the students can get the assignments online on their own time and where ever they want. It's also a great way for the teacher to be able to grade assignments online on their own time as well. It makes things simpler. Lets say you were writing an essay and you want more than one set of eyes to view your essay, you can post it on your blog and let people give you advice. Of course not everyone knows about your blog, but the only people you really want to view it is the people you know, so that makes it nice. Since computers are such a big part of our life today, it would be so convenient to have technology be even a bigger part of our education then it already is.
